Branch Closure Notice – Friday 27th March
All NEW branches will be closed on Friday 27th March for our annual stock take.
During this time, online ordering will also be temporarily unavailable. This allows us to complete a full and accurate stock count across all locations.
We’ll be back to normal from Monday, with all branches open and the website fully operational.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your understanding.
(We’ll be counting everything… twice.)
We are delighted to share that our NEW Ballymount branch has recently undergone a refurbishment, featuring a modernised trade counter, an expanded stock range, and a renewed focus on customer experience.
Located in the Sunbury Industrial Estate, Walkinstown, NEW Ballymount has been serving trade customers for over 36 years and remains one of our longest-established and most important branches within the NEW network.
The refurbishment has been designed to improve the day-to-day experience for customers visiting the branch, making it easier to access products, get technical support, and move quickly through the trade counter during busy periods.
As part of the upgrade, the branch has also expanded its stock offering, ensuring Ballymount continues to meet the needs of contractors and installers across Dublin and beyond.
We are also pleased to welcome Pearse Campbell as Branch Manager of NEW Ballymount. Pearse joined the business in September and worked closely with outgoing Branch Manager Jimmy McKeown before Jimmy’s retirement in December 2025.
Jimmy played a key role in the success of the Ballymount branch over the years, and his dedication to customers and the wider NEW team has been greatly appreciated across the business.
To mark the completion of the refurbished trade counter, we hosted a Trade Day on November 20, giving customers the opportunity to meet the branch team, catch up with suppliers, and explore the latest developments across lighting, tools, solar and energy-saving technologies.
The day included supplier support, on-site test equipment calibration, and advice on renewables from NEW’s solar and energy-saving specialist Patrick Murphy. Customers also enjoyed refreshments, breakfast rolls, and a Dartboard Challenge with prizes.
Our Ballymount team is ready to support customers with improved facilities, expanded stock, and the same experienced service the branch has always been known for.
We would like to thank all customers and suppliers who attended the Trade Day, and we look forward to welcoming you into the refurbished branch.

National Electrical Wholesalers is pleased to announce the opening of our new branch on the Kells Road, Navan, which officially opened in August 2025.
This new location supports electrical contractors, installers and trade customers across Co. Meath and the surrounding area, providing convenient access to a wide range of electrical products and trusted industry brands.
The Navan branch joins other recent branch openings, including new locations in Drogheda and Athlone, as part of NEW’s continued expansion across Ireland.
We’re pleased to confirm that National Electrical Wholesalers will be exhibiting at the Solar + Heat Renewables Show 2026, taking place on Thursday, 12 February 2026 at Naas Racecourse.
The Solar + Heat Renewables Show has become a key date in the calendar for installers, contractors, and professionals working across the renewable energy sector. The event brings together leading suppliers, manufacturers, and industry experts, offering a full day focused on the latest developments in solar, heat, and renewable technologies.
We’re excited to invite you to our newly refurbished Ballymount Trade Counter for our upcoming Trade Day on Thursday, 20th November 2025.
